Lincolnshire Fostering Service: Fostering survey
This feedback has concluded
Update as of 18 May 2026
We’re really grateful to the 62 people who responded to the survey.
Your feedback is already helping to shape future improvements across Lincolnshire.
A detailed report is being written by the Fostering Service to analyse all the information gained, with a view to looking at ways of shaping the service moving forward. Below is a snapshot of what you told us!
What you value most about fostering:
- Supporting local children
- Improving quality of life for both the child and foster carer
- Being part of a strong support network
- Support provided by your Supervising social workers
Areas for development:
- Fostering allowances
- Better access to training
We are continuing to review these areas as part of our ongoing service improvement work, and we will share further updates with the wider fostering community soon.
In relation to the training offer, a new training officer has now been recruited. She is working with the fostering service to develop the training offer for foster carers moving forward.
This is what we asked you.
We want to hear from people who are:
- registered foster carers with Lincolnshire Fostering Service
- currently going through the assessment process
- or thinking about fostering in the future
Your experiences and ideas will help shape and improve our fostering service over the coming year.
Whether you’re already a foster carer, currently being assessed, or simply exploring the idea, your voice can make a real difference. We’d love to hear about your experiences over the past year, what support has helped, how you found the application process, or what matters most to you as you consider becoming a foster carer.
Everything you share will be used to strengthen how we work and the support we provide to families across Lincolnshire.
The results will be shared with our fostering team and included in our annual reports.
