Engagement has concluded
Thank you for your contributions to the Skegness streetlights engagement.
The final report is now available to view under the report widget.
We will continue to update this page on the outcome and decision of the engagement.
This is what we asked you.
We have started replacing the old lanterns on Lumley Road. These lamps were starting to fail, and are in need of replacement. The new lights were chosen to improve safety and reliability, but some residents have told us the design feels out of character for this part of Skegness.
We’ve listened. We’re now taking a fresh look at the designs, and we want your help to choose the right option.
We’ve created a shortlist of realistic designs that balance appearance, maintenance, and cost. Each one is achievable, now it’s up to you to tell us which is the right option in your opinion.
This is your chance to shape the look and feel of one of Skegness’s busiest streets. Select 'take survey' below, and tell us which design you prefer.

There are currently 23 lampposts: 5 have already been fitted with the circular LED replacement lights (flying saucer style). There are 18 of the old globe lantern style, five of these are faulty and not currently working.
