The council are always talking about funding reductions, understandable? Yes of course. Why then is it that what funds are available are being squandered on sub standard 'repairs'. When a pot hole is filled, it is exactly that, it is filled with a bucket of tarmac into the hole which is filled with water and debris, with no edge sealant which means within a month it is as bad as it was. Surely if it was done properly, being dug out filled properly and sealed it would last many, many times longer. Maybe it would take a little longer to get round them but, they would not keep getting called back to repair what they have just done.
