Quality repair lasts longer.

Reported a dangerous footpath in Crowland a few months ago.

The footpath was very uneven and was a danger to pedestrians and wheelchair user's.

After a few months the issue got resolved and the Highways team did a very good job.

Lincolnshire County Council is getting more funding but will the government make up the shortfall that we have lost over the years?

Fixing roads is bad, actually

The reason behind road disrepair is that the cost of running road vehicles is not equivalent to the negative consequences of driving them. We should reduce speed limits and implement road tolls where it makes sense, as well as tax vehicles based on curb weight so that vehicles that do more wear to our roads are responsible for keeping them maintained. The money raised through these measures can be used for road maintenance, but also for things like offsetting air pollution and investing in more efficient public transport. Not everything here is something local councils can directly tackle, but a cycle…

The road damage eg. pot holes and frost damage in Stamford are terrible.Junction Roman Bank /Tinwell Road is terrible.Major Junction West Street/ Casterton Road/ North Street also terrible.Cherryholt Road (top end has major holes).Ryall Road has also damage. The Council uses inferior repair companies who “repair “ the damage and five minutes afterwards the damage has returned, because it was’t done properly. These are just the ones I have to negotiate on a regular basis, the list is endless.
