I have now had 2 expensive repairs to make to my vehicle following damage from potholes on Valley Lane in Long Bennington. Each time I have reported these faults to the council they respond by filling a couple of potholes within around a month. There are also annual issues on Fen Lane, Long Bennington which the council respond in the same way. I understand the issues around funding but in my opinion the council do not help themselves, for instance they will repair a few potholes on fen lane one week then return on another day to do the ones on valley lane. How can this be cost effective? The issues are never resolved completely either and just patched up! I am yet to receive any compensation from my claims of damages with the council saying I am not eligible. Please consider a more permanent fix to our roads instead of patching up each time only for the original problem to reappear a few months later.
