To help evaluate the impacts of the road scheme, we asked some quick questions to help us determine if it has met its objectives. The outcomes from the survey will form part of the one-year post construction monitoring and evaluation report, which will be submitted to the Department for Transport.

The objectives of the LEB were:

  • Objective 1– To support the delivery of sustainable economic growth in and around Lincoln through the provision of reliable and efficient transport infrastructure.
  • Objective 2 – To improve the attractiveness and liveability of central Lincoln for residents, workers and visitors by creating a safe, attractive and accessible environment by removing strategic through-traffic (particularly HGVs).
  • Objective 3 – To reduce carbon emissions, improve air and noise quality in and around Lincoln, especially in the city centre, by removing strategic through-traffic (particularly HGVs).

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and associated restrictions on movement, traffic volumes and visitors into city centres have been significantly reduced recently. However, as restrictions have eased, traffic volumes are now closer to pre-pandemic levels.

  • CLOSED: This survey has concluded.

This short survey is intended for those who live, work or travel in or around Lincoln comparing current traffic with pre-pandemic traffic. In addition ignoring the period disrupted by the closure of the A1434 Pelham Bridge for maintenance between June and August 2021.
