We Asked
Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) sought your input on a proposed change to the Lincolnshire co-ordinated scheme 2027/2028 and a proposed change to the admissions policy for maintained schools for the 2027-2028 school year.
We consulted on on:
A proposed change to the co-ordinated schemes to increase the number of school preferences that applicants are able to name on their application forms from three to four.
Changing the Published Admission Number (PAN) at Quadring Cowley and Brown's Primary School reducing the minimum number of places from 16 to 15. We’re suggesting this change to help schools better comply with regulations that limit infant class sizes to 30 pupils.
You Said
93 people responded to the survey, and the project page received nearly 500 visits.
Over 54% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed with increasing application choices from three to four.
Comments highlighted:
Preference for local or nearest schools
Support for greater parental choice and flexibility
Questions around transport, school capacity, and clarity of future information
48% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed with the proposed PAN Change at Quadring Cowley and Brown’s Primary School.
Feedback focused on:
School capacity
Local provision
Accessibility
We Did
Upon approval from the Children's services executive, the final admissions policy will be determined and linked to the Lincolnshire County Council webpage in March 2026 - we will keep this page updated.
