Thank you for taking part. A summary report was presented to Executive on 6 February. Their recommendations are on page 1 and 2 of the document at the top of 'important links'.

This is what we asked you.

Lincolnshire County Council’s Executive considered 2024/25 budget proposals on 9 January 2024. The report is here (opens in new tab). It considers increasing demand and the financial climate for example.

Our costs are increasing quicker than our funding, despite planned savings and additional income of £19.1m next year. Government also says it could return to ‘austerity’ from 2025/26, which means less money.

As part of our funding settlement, we can increase council tax by up to 5%. We have the third lowest rate of the 21 county authorities in England. We’ve taken difficult decisions in the past so we’re in a strong position compared to other councils.

We know it’s tough for households too but want to continue providing quality services throughout Lincolnshire. The budget proposal considers three options listed in the survey. The Executive said that their preferred option for consultation is to increase council tax by 4.99% (option C). Please use the survey to give your views.
