We recognise and value the vital role unpaid carers play in supporting family members, friends and neighbours across Lincolnshire. Unpaid carers make a significant contribution to the health, wellbeing and independence of the people they care for, and are recognised by Lincolnshire County Council as equal partners in care. Based on the 2021 Census, there could be more than 70,000 unpaid carers in Lincolnshire.
Lincolnshire County Council is reviewing the current service provided by Carers First, which forms part of the wider Lincolnshire Carers Service, and is recommissioning future support services for unpaid carers in Lincolnshire. As part of our wider engagement process, we are undertaking this survey to hear from carers across Lincolnshire about their experiences, the support that works well, and where improvements could be made.
Whether you currently use carers' services, have used them in the past, or have never accessed support, your views will help us understand carers' needs and will help shape future support for unpaid carers in Lincolnshire.
How your information will be used
We will analyse the findings alongside other feedback from carers, providers, and professionals. Results will only be reported in a way that does not identify individuals.
What happens next
A summary of the survey findings will be shared after the survey closes, and there will be further opportunities for carers to help shape future services.
If you have any questions about the survey or wish to request a paper copy, then please contact 01522 552727 or email the team ACCWEngage@lincolnshire.gov.uk.
