Many road around Lincolnshire are rural i.e. single carriageway. Many would think this means low traffic and normally it does. Rural roads normally don't have curbs or support along road edges, but are used by heavy tractors, heavy lorries collecting / delivering food stuff and very often used when main roads are closed for diverted traffic - naturally on all occasions all vehicles must in part go off road since the road isn't wide enough to pass. This leads to the side of the road breaking up with big dips and in poor conditions such dips (often more than wide enough and deep enough for a car tyre) will lead to car damage - suspension and ripped tyres. I have reported at least 4 such issues over the last 2 years within 500m of my house and there is yet another one now. In addition to traffic problems - water draining from the roads is poor, and hence undermines the road structure causing more damage, subsidence and holes across the road surface. In the UK we had some of the best roads in Europe now we are one of the worst.
