I have used online trusted trader type websites to source help for jobs around house. Although these did work out OK, I would be cautious about leaving a bad review in case of repercussions from the trader. As a woman on my own, unfortunately I do have to consider this and wonder if other people have the same worry; reviews aren't a true reflection of work done. I also hired a painter/decorator from the business card he put through my door. I thought the fact he lived locally was a guarantee of reasonable quality work but in fact it was the opposite..
