Road closed for scheduled work but nothing has been done!

Steeping Road at Thorpe Fendykes has been a drivers hazard for quite a few years now. The odd shovel full of tarmac has been dropped in some of the potholes at various points in time, but they are now as bad as ever, and the general road surface has deteriorated so badly that it's only fit for 4x4's and farm vehicles.

I damaged my car wheel there and reported it to the council 4 years ago, but nothing was done.

More recently, I filed another complaint. I noticed that several other people had reported the stretch of road too.

Not long after, I read a notice in the Skegness Standard saying that this particular Road was to be closed from 7th -11th February for essential maintenance to be undertaken. This was backed up by Road closure signs, and from the 7th I had to use diversions for my daily drive.

On the evening of the 11th February the road reopened. I drove through with trepidation expecting the potholes to have at least been filled in, but absolutely NOTHING had been done!!! So the road had been closed for no reason!

I, and I'm sure others, are absolutely fuming about this. Diversions take extra time and extra fuel, which is expensive enough at the moment!
