Mablethorpe, Sutton District Lions Club

Hi my name is Steve Holland, I am a Town Councillor for Mablethorpe, Sutton Town Council and I am also President of Mablethorpe, Sutton District Lions Club the Lions Club is actively involved with supporting those in our area in "Special Needs" and supporting Local charities such as "Hope House, Mablethorpe The Lifeboat Volunteers who we recently donated £730.00 for volunteer equipment, The Sutton Boxing Club with a donation of £100.00, Next Generation Dance Group with £300.00 for new music equipment, also a family whose home had been on fire destroying all the children's clothes we took the family to Grimsby and purchased all new clothes for the children and a little for mum and dad. The Lions raises its funds from organising "Race Nights" and other events which is greatly support by local business's and residents. Normally we have a group of "Chernobyl Children" visit Mablethorpe for the day which again is supported by our friends on the "Fairground -free rides and Candy floss", "Mr G's Cafe with a full meal" and onto "Russell's Circus" for a afternoon of entertainment" and a couple of hours free on the beach at Mablethorpe. I have been a member of the Lions International for over 15 years (8 years in Rotherham and 7 years in Mablethorpe). Mablethorpe and Sutton Lions Club have been here for over 46 years supporting those in need and we look forward to another 46 years.
